The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (Bup) Malmö/Trelleborg is strengthening its medical expertise and is now seeking a new doctor for our FACT-Young clinic!

Bup Area Malmö/Trelleborg consists of 130 employees and serves children and adolescents up to 18 years old and their families. The area includes three outpatient clinics, a neuropsychiatric clinic, an infant psychiatry clinic, and a FACT (Flexible Assertive Community Treatment) clinic for patients with increased care needs. There is also access to inpatient care through an emergency and two care departments.

FACT-Young is a newly established unit that we operate in collaboration with Malmö City, Trelleborg, Svedala, and Vellinge municipalities. Child and adolescent psychiatry in Skåne is the first in Sweden to establish an integrated clinic for children and adolescents with complex needs. The clinic is located in pleasant premises in Kulladal, Malmö. The target group is children and young people aged 10-18 years and their families, where there is a complex child psychiatric issue that requires extensive support and treatment from both health care and social services. The purpose of FACT-Young is to create a comprehensive structure for a treatment team around the patient where all relevant professions and resources deemed necessary for the patient's current needs are focused on and included. Meetings can take place at the clinic, in the youth's home, or wherever they feel comfortable meeting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as a specialist doctor or senior physician, you will work with in-depth assessments, diagnostics, and treatment alongside an engaged and interdisciplinary team. The position also includes on-call duties in the combined child psychiatry on-call line in Region Skåne, as well as supervision of ST doctors and junior doctors.

The proportion of children/adolescents being assessed for developmental-related functional disorders has increased across the country in recent years. Participation in assessments and pharmacological interventions for these groups currently constitutes a large part of the work. In addition, there are other pharmacological treatments and consultations with team members. As a doctor, you also have a very important role in participating in various internal conferences at the clinic. Bup in Skåne is characterized by a continuous improvement process to develop the care and support we wish to provide to our patients, where you as a doctor contribute with medical expertise.

There are good opportunities for personal professional development and research opportunities in agreement with your immediate supervisor. Bup in Skåne has a documented close collaboration with the institutions at Lund University. The organization has several research-educating employees with the opportunity for supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS

For the role of specialist doctor, we are looking for a licensed physician authorized to practice within Swedish healthcare and with specialist competence in child and adolescent psychiatry; specialist competence in psychiatry may also be considered. For both roles, proficiency in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale is required. For the role of senior physician, we are looking for someone who, in addition to the aforementioned qualifications, is also a PhD, has several years of service with a clearly defined medical responsibility and knowledge area, and documented teaching and/or supervisory merits.

For employment as a senior physician, you must also have:

• Full-time service of at least three years (documented effective time).
• Clinical skill and independence in psychiatry.
• Defined medical responsibility and knowledge area.
• Documented teaching and supervisory merits.

It is advantageous if you have previous experience working with children and families, as well as if you have previously worked in Melior and/or WebPASiS.
